Built into the landscape and covered with volcanic stone, the building designed by César Manrique is barely visible from the outside. Inside, two large arched windows frame views of El Río and the Chinijo Archipelago, with La Graciosa facing the cliffs.

Mirador del Río blends into the landscape of the Risco de Famara, opening up views across the Chinijo Archipelago and offering one of the most iconic panoramas in northern Lanzarote.
Explore the spaces designed by César Manrique, where architecture, landscape and ornamental elements come together as part of a single intervention. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, the site offers different perspectives of the surrounding landscape and reveals the relationship between Manrique’s work and the territory.
Plan your visit
- The ticket is valid for 3 months from the date of issue and allows one admission only to Mirador del Río.
- There is no need to print your ticket. Simply show the QR code on your mobile device when entering.
- Pets are not permitted, with the exception of assistance dogs, in accordance with Law 3/2017 of 26 April.
- Mirador del Río is located in an elevated area exposed to the wind. Strong gusts may occur in certain weather conditions, so we recommend taking extra care.
- Please respect all safety barriers and signs at all times, particularly on balconies and viewing areas.
- Free parking for vehicles and bicycles and free Wi-Fi are available.
During your visit
- Explore the different spaces of the Mirador del Río, integrated by César Manrique into the Risco de Famara, and discover how architecture, art and landscape blend seamlessly with the surroundings.
- Take in the views from the large windows and outdoor viewpoints, offering panoramic vistas of the Chinijo Archipelago, with La Graciosa taking centre stage.
- Head up to the upper terrace, where you can enjoy a different perspective of the El Río strait and the landscape of northern Lanzarote.
- Take a break at the cafeteria, integrated into the space, while enjoying the views of the Chinijo Archipelago.
- Before ending your visit, stop by the shop, where you will find a selection of souvenirs, crafts and products related to Lanzarote and the work of César Manrique.

You must present valid official documentation confirming the degree of disability, together with the corresponding identity document. You must also provide any specific documentation required to prove eligibility for the discounted rate.
- Residents of the Canary Islands and Lanzarote
- Present your physical DNI/NIE.
- EU/Schengen citizens: present your passport or identity document in physical format.
- Documents without a photograph: if the document presented does not include a photo, you must provide an additional official document in physical format to verify your identity.
- Proof of residence: if your address does not appear on your identity document, you must present a valid certificate of residence (certificado de empadronamiento).
- Children up to 13 years old: if they do not have a valid ID card (DNI), a valid certificate of residence must be presented.

Valid supporting documentation must be presented. Otherwise, the ticket will be invalidated without refund, and a full-price ticket must be purchased.
